Of course I’d really love an SM (particularly one like the Heuliez SM Espace) or a Chapron Décapotable DS.
However... closer to earth, a first generation (stainless steel trim) CX
Prestige
(LWB) in black with black leather upholstery and Turbo 2 mechanicals would do very nicely, thank you.
Or a GS Birotor.
Or a GS Pallas with GSA X3 mechanicals.
There are other extremely interesting Citroëns out there but those are in the “my engine is barely bigger than the one in your lawnmower” category* so no relevant to this comparison.
* No a joke at all. Decades ago an acquaintance of mine was describing his 2CV to a gent in New Orleans and the man in question said, in utter disbelief, “that has a smaller engine than my lawnmower!”

I want an early stainless bumper TRD Turbo SWB with a blue exterior and either black or blue interior depending on what was avaliable.

I own a 1988 Citroen CX GTi. It took me 2.5 years to find this car, as there are so few survivors in Britain. The ride quality is like nothing else - you can even jack it up to 4x4 ride-height and go off-road . Unfortunately the ZF 3HP22 automatic gearbox now needs a rebuild (at und er 80,000 miles!) but the rest of the car is so good that it’s worth spending the money. Citroen never saw fit to add a lock-up 4th gear / overdrive to the automatic.

That is very cool. Thank you for the info on the car
